As part of the third-semester Art and Aesthetic Education course, a Music Composition Workshop was conducted. The programme began at 10:00 a.m. with a welcome address by Sreelekshmi Miss, Assistant Professor of Art Education. The session was led by the resource person Mr. Anayadi Rakesh, who introduced us to various elements of music.
During the morning session, he explained the fundamentals of music, introduced different musical notes, and taught songs related to each note. He also taught a melodious prayer song, which created a lively and spiritual atmosphere in the class.
At 2:00 p.m., the students were divided into groups consisting of five to six members. Each group was given 30 minutes to write and compose a song based on their respective subject. The group presentations started at 2:30 p.m., and all the groups performed with great enthusiasm. Our group, which consisted of five members, selected the topic 'REFLECTION OF LIGHT" and presented our self-composed song beautifully. Every group showcased creativity, making the session engaging and enjoyable.
The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Fr. Terry T. Overall, the session was highly enriching, as it helped us understand different methods of music composition and enhanced our creativity and appreciation for music.❤️🎵✨
