The fifth and final day of the Lokahi Camp began with excitement and a deep sense of achievement. The valedictory function started at 10:00 am, bringing together all teacher trainees, faculty members, and invited guests. The event was gracefully hosted by Sheba Susan Philip and Nayana, who ensured that every programme segment was presented smoothly. With an atmosphere full of anticipation, everyone gathered to celebrate the successful completion of the five-day camp.
The welcome address was delivered by the camp teacher coordinator, Ms. Sreeklekshmi. She warmly greeted the dignitaries and expressed heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to the smooth conduct of the camp. Our college principal, Mr. Riju John, presided over the function and shared words of encouragement and appreciation. The ceremony was officially inaugurated by Mr. Mullakkara Ratnakaran, former Minister for Agriculture, whose inspiring message highlighted the importance of unity, social awareness, and service the core values of the Lokahi Camp.
After the inaugural speech, Mr. Jeevan presented the detailed camp report. Listening to the highlights and activities of all five days helped everyone relive the meaningful experiences of the week. Each academic, cultural, or community-based activity reflected the true spirit of togetherness and harmony. The report also showed how much learning and teamwork had taken place throughout the camp.
One of the most memorable moments of the function was the presentation of the Best Camper Award. Award received by Arunima M S and Albin K. Alexander .
The ceremony also included a segment to appreciate the camp coordinators, Ms. Jisa and Mr. Jeevan, for their committed efforts in planning and guiding the camp. Mr. Albin, who suggested the meaningful name Lokahi for the camp, was also acknowledged. Group leaders from different sections were appreciated for their leadership and cooperation, which helped maintain discipline and ensured the smooth conduct of all camp events.
Finally, Fr. Sabu delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the management, faculty, organising committee, and all participants. His heartfelt words marked the official conclusion of the camp.
With this, the five-day journey of Lokahi Camp came to an end. As we dispersed, we carried with us countless unforgettable memories, new friendships, and cherished experiences that will remain with us for years to come.
