DAY 5 – Delhi Sightseeing and Shopping (March 18, 2025)
We reached Delhi the next morning around 10:00 AM and were divided into groups to freshen up at the hotels. After a refreshing break and breakfast, we checked out and headed to visit the historic Qutub Minar, another UNESCO World Heritage Site. The tall tower with its intricate carvings and inscriptions impressed us all. We learned about the significance of the Qutub complex in Delhi’s Sultanate history. After this, we had lunch in our buses – a new and enjoyable experience. Post-lunch, we proceeded to the famous Sarojini Nagar Market, one of the busiest shopping destinations in Delhi. The market was full of vibrant clothes, accessories, and trendy items at affordable prices. With a lot of bargaining and excitement, many of us bought souvenirs, clothes, and gifts for our families. The atmosphere of the market was energetic and colorful. After spending almost three hours there, we returned to our buses around 6:00 PM and headed to Delhi Railway Station. We boarded our train around 8:00 PM, bringing our memorable journey to an end. It was a fulfilling last day filled with culture, history, shopping, and final reflections on our unforgettable journey.
