🎭A transformative Arts Workshop for Future Educators...🎭

Teaching is a synthesis of artistic and scientific skills. On October 17, 2024, an arts session related to EDU101.3 was organized to foster creativity among students. The session was led by the exceptionally talented artist, N. Gopalakrishnan. The workshop commenced with the opening remarks by our principal, Mr. Riju John. After the introduction, Gopalakrishnan Sir took over the session and emphasized the significance of a teacher possessing strong artistic abilities. He demonstrated various painting styles, inspiring everyone present.

Inauguration and welcoming session of the workshop

Gopalakrishnan sir taught the outline drawing

The first session focused on fabric painting. Sir provided an outline, and we proceeded to paint the artwork under his guidance. The next session introduced us to glass painting which was both enjoyable and informative. During the lunch break, Gopalakrishnan Sir briefly discussed diverse painting styles, enhancing our understanding and appreciation for art.

Post lunch, the workshop moved on to bottle art where Sir shared numerous innovative ideas for creating bottle designs. A particularly unique experience for many was using M-seal clay in bottle art. Following this, he guided us through the process of making paper flowers and greeting cards ,sharing creative techniques to make these items.

The session concluded with a sense of fulfillment and inspiration. This workshop was a novel experience for all participants, providing a fresh perspective on integrating artistic skills into teaching. We realized the importance of nurturing a child's overall development alongside academic excellence, and how activities like these could play a vital role in achieving this balance.
