Day – 28 (19/01/2026)πŸ‘©‍πŸ’»πŸ˜️

Today, I reached the school at 9:10 a.m. As per the school schedule, the morning prayer was conducted at 9:30 a.m. According to the timetable, I had two classes assigned for the day.

During the third period, I handled Class 8J and taught the topic “Thermoplastics and Thermosetting Plastics” from the chapter Chemistry of Matter in the Chemistry textbook. The class was interactive, and students showed interest in understanding the differences between the two types of plastics.

In the fifth period, I took Class 8C and taught the topic “Reflection in Spherical Mirrors” from the chapter Spherical Mirrors in the Physics subject. The concepts were explained clearly using examples, and students actively participated in the discussion.

I also got a substitution period in Class 8J during the seventh period. During this time, I implemented my innovative lesson plan on the topic “Plastic Pollution.” The class was conducted using a debate model, where students actively shared their views and opinions on plastic pollution and its effects on the environment.

Along with the debate, I introduced my innovative work model, a three-dimensional house model designed to explain the four R’s of plastic pollution mitigation: Reduce, Refuse, Reuse, and Recycle. Each R was clearly demonstrated through different parts of the model using relevant pictures. The model helped students understand the concept effectively, and they enthusiastically contributed additional points related to plastic pollution mitigation.

The school dispersed at 3:30 p.m. with the National Anthem. I signed the register at 4:50 p.m. and returned home.

However, I got a substitution period during the fourth hour in Class 8J, where I conducted the achievement test as informed to the students earlier. Later, I also received a substitution period in Class 6C. During this period, I engaged the students with small activities to keep them active and interested.

There were no other classes allotted to me for the day. The remaining time was utilized for completing academic and related works. At 3:30 p.m., regular activities concluded. The school dispersed at 4:15p.m. After signing the register, I returned home.

Day – 30 (21/01/2026)πŸ—“️

Today, I reached the school at 9:00 a.m. and signed the attendance register. The morning prayer was held at 9:30 a.m.

As per the timetable, I had a class in Class 8J during the second period. During this period, I distributed the corrected achievement test papers. I discussed the questions with the students, explained the correct answers, and gave proper suggestions on how to answer each question effectively. I also pointed out their mistakes and guided them on how to improve their responses.I did not have any other classes for the day. The school dispersed at 3:30 p.m. At 4:50 p.m., I signed the register and returned home.

Day – 31 (22/01/2026)πŸŽ‰

Today, I reached the school at 9:00 a.m. This day marked the last day of my teaching practice and the completion of 70 days of teaching practice at St. Mary’s HSS, Kizhakkekara. As per the timetable, I did not have regular classes today.During the third period, I visited Class 8J and expressed my heartfelt thanks to all the students. I interacted with them, listened to their feedback and suggestions about my teaching, and shared a few words with them. I also motivated the students and took photographs with them to preserve the memories of my teaching practice.

During the last two periods, I visited Class 8C, thanked the students, and received their valuable feedback and suggestions. We took photographs together, and it was a joyful yet emotional experience. I felt very happy to complete my teaching practice, but at the same time, I felt a sense of sadness while leaving the school where I gained many unforgettable memories.

The school authorities, including the Headmistress and Senior Assistant Teacher Mrs. Rosemary, shared their valuable suggestions, opinions, and blessings, which motivated and inspired us. We took group photographs at 4:15 p.m. Finally, we signed our last attendance in the teaching practice register.

I returned home with a heart full of gratitude, happiness, and cherished memories of my teaching practice days

INNOVATIVE WORK MIDEL πŸ€–πŸ‘Ύphase 2

✨πŸ€–An Innovative 3D Model on the 4Rs of Plastic Pollution MitigationπŸ€–πŸ‘Ύ✨

As part of my B.Ed. teaching training programme, I developed an innovative work on the topic “4Rs of Plastic Pollution Mitigation” based on the chapter Chemistry of Matter from the Class VIII SCERT Basic Science textbook. The innovative work was a three-dimensional model of a house designed to explain the concepts of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Refuse in a practical and meaningful way. Each side of the model represented one ‘R’ and displayed components, pictures, and real materials related to plastic pollution and its reduction. The model aimed to create awareness among students about plastic pollution and to help them understand how the 4R approach can be applied in daily life to reduce environmental damage.
