On September 27, 2024, the English Department of Baselios Marthoma Mathews II Training College inaugurated their association, "Luminaries," as the first department to conduct an association program for the academic year. The ceremony began with a prayer and a warm welcome by faculty member Shijini Miss, followed by Principal Riju John Sir officially unveiling the association's name. Fr. Sabu provided an insightful explanation of the association's purpose, setting the tone for the event. The program featured captivating cultural performances, including a mesmerizing dance by Anagha R. Nair, and concluded with innovative games organized by the department, which were thoroughly enjoyed by all. The event not only showcased hidden talents but also fostered skills in event organization, making it a memorable and enriching experience for everyone involved.

CANTEEN INAUGURATION DAY☕

On September 26, 2024, first-year students at Baselios Marthoma Mathews II Training College inaugurated the "Curriculum Canteen," an innovative initiative designed to provide practical experience in management and teamwork. As a gesture of encouragement, the local manager, Rev. Fr. Jacob M., made the first purchase. The canteen is entirely student-run, with students managing tasks such as cash handling and serving refreshments, offering them valuable hands-on experience. During the launch event, the principal and staff expressed their wholehearted support for the project, marking the start of a dynamic chapter in student participation on campus.

On September 12, 2024, Baselios Marthoma Mathews II Training College, in collaboration with the Nitara College Union, celebrated Onam with great enthusiasm and cultural unity. The event brought together students, teachers, and staff in a vibrant and joyous atmosphere that showcased the essence of Kerala’s cherished festival. 

Morning Session contain traditional Games and Activities like uriyadi, vadamvali, kuppiyil vellam nirakal


Communal onam sadhya also arranged which is the main attraction of this program it contains chor and lot of dishes in the sadhya

Baselios Marthoma Mathews II Training College marked the commencement of its 2024–2026 academic association on September 10, 2024. Vismaya Thomas warmly welcomed the attendees, while the event was graced by the chief guest, Dr. C. Unnikrishnan, a retired principal of D.B. College, Sasthamkotta, who delivered an inspiring address. Shamna Rani delivered the presidential remarks, and congratulations from Dr. Praveena and Akhil Raj S added to the occasion's significance. The formal proceedings concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Shijini. The highlight of the day was the department's students' captivating cultural program, showcasing their remarkable talent and enthusiasm.

CULTURAL VISIT TO VELUTHAMBI DALAVA MUSEUM✨

 On Wednesday, 4th September 2024, students from Baselios Marthoma Mathews II College of Teacher Education Kottarakara visited the Veluthambi Dalawa Memorial Museum in Mannady as part of the practical work for EDU 101.3. The visit, which took place from 10 AM to 2 PM, was aimed at exploring a local monument of cultural significance and preparing a report on its artistic and cultural relevance.

We were divided as per our optional subjects and each department were allocated a particular time. We Physical science team  reached the museum at 1:00 PM. At the museum we were guided by Riju Sir, our principal, Akhil sir, faculty of Malayalam and a guide

During the visit, we observed various sculptures and archaeological artifacts. Some of the key attractions included portraits of the Travancore rulers, historical artifacts, agricultural tools, and cannons. The museum also featured exhibits focusing on Veluthambi Dalawa's life, such as a pavilion with his statue, displays of old coins, and the notable Kundara Proclamation. Additionally, the museum housed an open-air theatre.
