Project orientation class

     PROJECT ORIENTATION WORKSHOP


  Our college conducted a project orientation workshop on 23rd August 2025 at 10:00 a.m. in the college general hall. The resource person was Dr. Lakshmi A, Associate Professor in General Education, NSS Training College, Pandalam. The program began with a prayer, followed by a brief introduction by our principal, Benedict Sir, who spoke about the importance of the orientation and introduced the resource person. Dr. Lakshmi then led the session, explaining what a mini project, case study, and action research are. She also provided suitable examples for each, highlighting their importance and the main components. The class was very informative and helpful in creating awareness about selecting a perfect project topic for the B.Ed curriculum. The session ended at 2:30 p.m. with a vote of thanks delivered by Athira from the Malayalam department

Freshers party for juniors

                             പ്രകമ്പനം




    On 22nd August 2025, our college union EKTHA conducted a freshers’ party to welcome the juniors. The program began at 10:00 a.m. in the seminar hall, which was beautifully decorated by the seniors. The function started with the blessings of the manager father and principal, followed by a warm and creative welcome for the juniors. The first part of the program included performances by each department of juniors based on different movie themes, which were presented very attractively. Seniors also performed dances, and various games were organized for the juniors, making the event lively and enjoyable. Both juniors and seniors participated wholeheartedly and enjoyed the day. Lunch was provided for everyone, and after that a treasure hunt game was conducted for the juniors. Once it was completed successfully, there was music and dancing, where all students joined together and celebrated with great joy. The program came to an end by 3:30 p.m., leaving behind beautiful memories of fun and togetherness.

OPTIONAL REFLECTION -3 { 13th August 2025 }

 


The third optional reflection session of the Physical Science Department was conducted on 18th August 2025 under the leadership of Smitha Teacher, our class teacher. A representative from each school was selected to share their reflections. Students from five schools presented their reflections, most of which focused on the completion of the Onam portion, the Independence Day celebrations held in their schools, and the observations conducted during the past week. The session was concluded by Smitha Teacher

TEACHING PRACTICE {PHASE -1} [DAY- 19 to DAY -23]

 Day -19 (11th August 2025)

Today I reached the school at 9:00 a.m. and signed the register. I had a class during the first period, and after the prayer, I went to class 9A and taught the topic “Galileo’s Observation.” On that day, a road show was conducted in the school during the fourth period. At 4:15 p.m., we signed the register and went back home.


Day- 20 (12th August 2025)

Today I reached the school at 9:15 a.m. I got a substitution class during the fifth period in class 9H, where I taught the topic “Electron Dot Diagram.” At 4:15 p.m., I signed the register and went back home.


Day -21 (13th August 2025)

Today I reached the school at 8:45 a.m. and signed the register. I had a class during the first period in class 9A, where I taught the topic “Newton’s First Law of Motion.” Later, I got another substitution class during the seventh period, where I taught the topic “Inertia.” On that day, a book exhibition was organized in the school, and we trainees were assigned discipline duty for the program. At 4:15 p.m., we signed the register and went back home.


Day- 22 (14th August 2025)

Today I reached the school at 8:15 a.m. and signed the register. I had a class during the second period, where I taught the topic “Inertia and Mass.” During the sixth period, I conducted revision for the upcoming Onam examination. At 4:15 p.m., I signed the register and went back home.


Day -23 (16th August 2025)

Today I reached the school at 9:00 a.m. and signed the register. I did not have any regular class to take as the number of students was very few due to Saturday. At 3:30 p.m., I signed the register and went back home.

OPTIONAL REFLECTION - 2( 10th August 2025)🪞📑




 On 10th August 2025, an optional online reflection session was conducted at 7:00 p.m. Eighteen students from the Physical Science department shared their reflections on the activities of the week and the previous week. The main focus of the reflections was on classroom management, improvements observed in their teaching, and the new methods adopted for better classroom control and effective teaching. TEACHING PRACTICE {PHASE 1} ( DAY -14 tO DAY -18 )

 Day 14- (4 August 2025)


Today I reached the school at 9:00 a.m. and signed the register. I had a class in the first period for class 9A on the topic Uniform Acceleration and Nonuniform Acceleration. It was an ICT-based class. I had lunch duty on that day.Along with teaching about traffic signals and road markings, I showed a miniature model of a road with signboards and markings as an innovative model so that students could understand the concept more clearly and with interest After completing all my duties, I signed the register at 4:15 p.m. and went back home.




Day 15 -(5 August 2025)


Today I reached the school at 8:50 a.m. and signed the register. I had a class in the third period for class 9A. I got a substitution period and took the topic Graphical Representation of Motion. After completing the day's work, I signed the register at 4:15 p.m. and went back home.




Day -16) (6 August 2025)


Today I reached the school at 9:00 a.m. and signed the register. According to the timetable, I had a class in the fourth period for class 9A on the topic Equations of Motion. I explained the derivation and solved related problems with the students. The class was interactive and students participated actively. At 4:15 p.m., I signed the register and went back home.




Day -17 (7 August 2025)


Today I reached the school at 9:00 a.m. As per the timetable, I had two classes. In the second period, I took a class for 9A on the topic Unbalanced External Force. It was an optional observation class observed by my teacher. In the sixth period, I took a class for 9H on the topic Octet Configuration. After completing both classes, I signed the register at 4:15 p.m. and went back home.

Today I reached the school at 9:10 a.m. As per the timetable, I had a class in the fourth period and a substitution class in the sixth period. In the fourth period, I took a class for 9H on the topic Ionic Bond. In the sixth period, I conducted my innovative model class for 9H on the topic Ionic Bonding in Sodium Chloride. The title of my innovative model was Swayamvaram. I was also assigned line duty or discipline duty on that day. After completing all the activities, I signed the register at 4:15 p.m. and went back home.

TEACHING PRACTICE {PHASE 1}[Day 9 - Day-13]

 Day 9– 28 July 2025 (Monday)

I reached the school at 9:00 AM. In the first period, I took a Chemistry class for 9H on the topic "How to find the group number and period number of main group elements." There were no other scheduled classes or duties for the day, so I utilized the remaining time for preparation and other pending work. I had line duty in the afternoon, and after school dispersed at 3:30 PM, I signed out and returned home by 4:15PM.


Day 10 – 29 July 2025( Tuesday)

On the 13th day of my teaching practice, I arrived at school by 9:00 AM. I had a class in the second period for 9H, where I introduced the topic of Noble Gases, using the Iron Man model to make the concept interesting and relatable for students. After completing line duty, I signed the register and left school at 4:15 PM.


Day 11– 30 th July 2025 ( Wednesday)

I reached school at 9:10 AM. I had a class in the first period for 9H, where I taught the topic of Transition Metals. Later, I received a substitution class in the fourth period, during which I covered Lanthanides and Actinides. Apart from teaching, I had both lunch duty and line duty on this day. After fulfilling all responsibilities, I left school at 4:15 PM.


Day 12 – 31st July 2025( Thursday)

I arrived at school by 9:00 AM. Though I was scheduled to take the first period, the class was cancelled due to the unit test. However, I got an opportunity to handle the sixth period for class 9H, where I taught the topic "Size of Atoms in Periods and Groups." School was dismissed at 3:30 PM, and we returned home after signing the register at 4:15 PM.


Day 13– 1 August 2025(Friday)(⛹️‍♀️🥎Sports Day⛹️‍♀️🥎)

On the 16th day of teaching practice, the school celebrated its Annual Sports Day. I reached school by 8:45 AM. The flag hoisting ceremony was conducted at 9:15 AM, and DySP Biju Kumar was the chief guest. Various events such as 100m, 200m, 400m races, long jump, and high jump were held. NCC, SPC, and NSS cadets, along with teachers and non-teaching staff, actively participated. I was assigned duty in the Refreshment Committee and carried out my responsibilities effectively. The Sports Day events concluded by 3:30 PM, and after signing the register, I left school at 4:15 PM.
