 കാലാതീതം നിൻറെ ഓർമ്മയ്ക്ക്🖋️✨







The Malayalam Department of our college organized a commemoration program in honor of the legendary writer M.T. Vasudevan Nair on January 31, 2025, at the General Hall. The event commenced at 10:00 AM with great enthusiasm and participation from faculty and students.  

The program was graced by the presence of Dr. R. Shelleyvice principal and Head of the Malayalam Department at Fatima Mata College, Kollam, as the chief guest. Our Principal delivered the introductory speech and also presided over the function. The welcome addres was delivered by Akhil Raj Sir, Head of the Malayalam Department, who set the tone for the event.  

Dr. R. Shelley then delivered the central commemoration speech, where he beautifully explained the literary contributions of M.T. Vasudevan Nair, focusing on his unique writing style, novels, and short stories. His insightful speech provided a deeper understanding of M.T.'s impact on Malayalam literature and storytelling.  



Department of Malayalam also arranged a exhibition at Malayalam class about the life and writings of M T Vasudevan Nair



Following the commemoration speech,  faculty members of our college shared their thoughts and paid tribute to M.T. Vasudevan Nair. The program then continued with a documentary presentation on M.T. Vasudevan Nair, prepared by the Malayalam Department. This visual tribute highlighted his literary journey and achievements.  




Adding a cultural touch to the event, students from the Malayalam Department performed a dance, which was well-received by the audience.  

The final and most exciting part of the event was the Mega Quiz Competition, on M.T. Vasudevan Nair, conducted department-wise. It was a moment of pride for the Physical Science Department as we secured the first prize in the competition.  


The program was a memorable experience, offering valuable insights into the works of M.T. Vasudevan Nair while also creating a platform for students and faculty to engage in literary and cultural activities.✨

ART EDUCATION AND THEATRE PRACTICE 📽️ -🎭 DAY 2🎭

📽️JADATHWAM📽️


On the  next day following the insightful training session led by Mr. Sathish G. Nair, an esteemed artist, Baselios Marthoma Mathews II Training College organized a Drama Performance Event to showcase the skills and techniques learned during the workshop. Under the expert guidance of Mr. Sathish G. Nair, students enthusiastically prepared and presented their dramas, making the event a grand success.  
A total of 20 groups participated, each delivering outstanding performances. The dedication and creativity of all participants were evident as they brought their characters to life. My group performed a drama titled "Jadathwam" (which means inertia), based on the concept of force. Our group members included:  
- Karthika as the Teacher  
- Alfy as Ponnu  
- Devi as Minnu  
- Shamsiya as Ammu  
- Myself in three roles: the Mother, a Naughty Boy in Class, and a Driver

Each group demonstrated remarkable teamwork, creativity, and application of the techniques learned during the workshop. The performances were judged by Mr. Sathish G. Nair, who provided valuable feedback and announced the winners.  

The Best Actress award was given to Alfiya from the Malayalam Department, while Father Sabu from the English Department received the Best Actor award. The Best Drama title was awarded to the English Department for their outstanding performance.  

Hearing the judgment for our drama was a thrilling moment, and the entire experience of preparing, performing, and receiving feedback was truly enriching. The event served as a platform for all prospective teachers to showcase their creativity, enhance their confidence, and explore the transformative power of dramatization in education.  

This memorable event not only celebrated the talents of the participants but also reinforced the importance of art and theatre in fostering self-expression and teamwork among future educators.❣️✨

ART EDUCATION AND THEATRE PRACTICE🎭🖋️ Day 1

🎭Igniting Creativity Through Art and Theatre 🎭 


     As part of the B.Ed curriculum, In our college, organized a workshop on  Art Education and Theatre Practice on 23rd January 2025. The session commenced promptly at 10:00 AM with an introduction by our esteemed Principal, Riju Sir, who warmly welcomed the participants and introduced the resource person, Mr. Sathish G. Nair, a renowned drama artist from Thiruvananthapuram. He also provided an overview of the resource person's achievements and contributions to the field of drama and arts.  

The workshop began with an engaging discussion on the history and significance of drama and theatre arts, particularly in the context of education. Mr. Sathish G. Nair emphasized the role of dramatization in fostering creativity, self-expression, and effective communication among students.  Following the introductory session, Mr. Nair conducted a series of activity-based classes that encouraged participants to step out of their comfort zones and embrace their expressive sides. These activities were designed to highlight the importance of body language, voice modulation, and storytelling in dramatization. His storytelling sessions, which demonstrated the use of expressive gestures and modulated voices, captivated the audience and showcased the transformative power of theatre.  

The most engaging part of the workshop was the practical session.  After the class resource person give some time to us for practicing our own drama for the next day. Each group was tasked with preparing their own script for a short drama. During the session, the resource person provided valuable feedback, suggestions

The workshop was an enriching experience for all prospective teachers, as it offered a unique blend of theoretical knowledge and practical exposure to drama and theatre arts. The activities not only highlighted the importance of dramatization in the educational context but also allowed the participants to explore their creativity and improve their communication abilities.  

The session concluded with a sense of accomplishment and joy among the participants, leaving everyone with fond memories of a day well spent. This workshop was truly a memorable and transformative experience for all involved.

On January 22, 2025, as part of a film festival organized by the college union, students and faculty from Baselios Marthoma Mathews II Training College attended the screening of the movie Rekhachithram at Minarva Theatre, Kottarakkara. 
         The event began at 10:00 AM and concluded at 1:00 PM, offering everyone a delightful experience of togetherness. Watching the film together fostered a sense of unity and camaraderie among participants, making it a joyful and memorable occasion. The vibrant atmosphere and shared moments of enjoyment enriched the experience, leaving a lasting impression on everyone.

COLLEGE UNION INAUGURATION ✨💃

            EKTHA🎊

On January 17, 2025, we celebrated  inauguration of our college union, "Ektha," with great enthusiasm. 






The event commenced at 10:00 AM in the General Hall, where the inauguration and logo unveiling ceremony took place. The esteemed Puthuppally MLA, Sri Chandi Omman, graced the occasion as the chief guest, marking the beginning of the union's journey for the academic year 2024-2025. 

The event was followed by the inauguration of the Arts Club by renowned comedian Sri Rajesh Kottarathil, adding to the excitement of the day. 






In the afternoon, the celebration continued with a spectacular musical fusion performance by the famous "Neelam" musical band. Their mesmerizing performance created an atmosphere of joy and enjoyment, making it a memorable experience for everyone present.







The day was filled with happiness, pride, and excitement as students and faculty came together to celebrate the start of a new chapter in the college's history💃❣️.
